Nissan Micra DIG-S - UK Details released
It was only February when the Nissan Micra DIG-S was revealed but Nissan are now ready to let UK motorists loose in their City Car and have sent us price and model details. What we find particulary appealing about the three-pot supercharged Micra DIG-S is that it seems to offer a perfect alternative to the diesel City Car – and with much lower NOx and particulate emissions – but without the penalties in fuel economy normally associated with petrol-engined cars. Not only does it offer economy that compares favourably with a diesel-engined car of a similar size, it suffers no performance penalty either.
The David Brown Automotive Speedback is certainly one of the more intriguing coachbuilt cars we've seen recently -- all the more so because it's a product of Britain, not the carrozzeria hub of Italy. We just got our first glimpse of the Speedback yesterday, and thanks to this XCar video, we can dive a bit deeper into the car's origins and its many design details (unfortunately, there's no on-road footage yet). The Speedback, in the words of DBA founder David Brown, seeks to combine the “classic simplicity of the '60s underpinned by a modern platform with all of the functionality you'd expect from a modern car.”
And it does so successfully, from what we can tell so far.

The new Black Pack on the Land Rover Defender paints the roof, grille and headlight surrounds, wheel arches, Defender badge and interior facia in the manufacturer’s Santorini black finish. Privacy glass (a first for the Defender) is included in the pack, and ebony Alston headlining – as seen on the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models – is added to the interior.
